Thank you again for your beautiful writing. I didn't know you lived in/around Los Angeles. If I had stayed there, we would be neighbors. But, if I had stayed there, I would have lost it all in the fires. I used to live in Altadena, in a house that now is gone. I wrote about it. It makes me immensely sad. The most beautiful place I ever lived in is gone. It's selfish, I have lost only memories, but the people there lost everything. Big hug, no plans January sounds like the right thing to do. Nature doesn't plan either.
I am grateful you were not in Altadena. I am grateful I am North of LA. It is not selfish to feel pain of any caliber. It is unprecedented and signifies a scary shift in our planetary crisis.
We are all interconnected and we feel collective suffering. It is amazing to see the aftermath love and to see how beautifully supported the victims are.
May we navigate vicissitudes with grace and surrender.
Thank you, Nessa. I'm a retired physician and stress researcher/author. We live stress filled lives and chronically elevated cortisol destroys T-lymphocytes, thus more infections and many more ill effects. All in my free online e-book PDF, "Stress R Us", thanks to the good folks out at Stanford. Great read! I hope you do more, but manage your stress before it manages you. Have a blessed evening. It's been a very apocalyptic time all around. Thank you for mentioning fermented foods and my local gut-friendly business. Only microbes can save us now, and stashing away fermented foods for your subsequent evacuation is an excellent idea! They will help with your poor digestion and immune system due to the higher stress levels brought on by local and nearby disasters. I am not a doctor but have a "boots to the ground" level of experience, working in the farmer's markets for a decade now. Get all kinds of folks visiting my booth throughout the years. One thing is for sure: eating fermented foods is Good For Everyone.

“ Goodbye familiar. Hello, mystery. Endings are beginnings. Do I sound like a broken record?”
Not to anyone with insight into the Hindu god Shiva or the Mandela, or Heraclitus and FLUX, and more.
Sending you a big hug, Nessa!
Thank you and right back at you, dear.
Thank you! <3 <3 Mua!
I’m healing by listening to Aliento by Danit
Thanks for the rec. I know there is a song on that album I love: Guacamayo. I will check out the other songs.
I think my favorite is called ‘Wheel of Life’ and it’s beautiful
The whole album is wonderful
Yes. I am noticing that too.
It’s actually titled ‘Heartbeat’
It is so so beautiful. I link to it directly in this post.
My disaster prep kit is water, ivermectin, fenbendazole. And rice and beans. I’m good to go.
don't forget water filter & treatment, like a Berkey for home and/or a LifeStraw for on the go water filtration, or maybe water tablets. Be well!!
Rice and beans is a great idea. I love those 2 items even for non-disasters.
