Thank you for reading and sharing. The East is East quote is poignant. Of course I would read your post. I am always learning and reading about as many different perspectives as possible.
I have faith that our species is waking up to the realization that we are not "part of" nature but we ARE nature, and cannot go on pretending otherwise. When we contemplate dolphins and whales swimming in the oceans and giraffes and elephants walk the land, we're not just observing from the outside. We're here with them.
I love your writing and photos and the fine humour; for me it is birds and books, along with my wife and children.
Can the madness in the world get worse? I hope not, but who can say? Humans are the one species (out of 8 million possible species) who is not in harmony with Nature?
Thank for reading and reaching out. Birds and loved ones. Of course of course. Birds are my lifeline. The ecology of the garden is so harmonious.
I heard recently that birds only sing when there are no predators around so we humans evolved to equate that sound with safety. Makes so much sense why their song puts us in parasympathetic nervous system/rest and digest states. Re: humans not being in harmony with nature. It is so sad and so true. It is also odd because we are nature so we are just not in harmony with ourselves...anymore. The early ones were in touch. I plan to be. No matter what.
Nessa, thank you for your writing, your kind thoughtfulness. The world is full of mystery, and the devisive destructive power of division and angst has its say, but will not win.
" East is East, and West is West, and never the twain shall meet" is only part of the quote, as the rest goes, "yet when a wise man from the East, meeets a Wise man from the West. then the twain shall always meet.
Thank you Satya! Great to meet you too! What a beautiful name. Your publication sounds so interesting. I look forward to that amazing sounding June series and to your past/future posts. Thanks for including me! I am honored.
I can learn so so much from you. I am a newbie Dharma student and a huge supporter of IFS. IFS resonates so much more since i accidentally stumbled upon the technique (naturally!!) during my wholeness journey inward. I only read about what was happening afterwards because my therapist pointed me to it! IFS is a gift. Understanding it effectively changes my rotted paradigms and allows me to see everything with whole eyes. I am so much kinder at at peace.
I subscribed to your missives and look forward to it. Thanks for your genuine support.
Thanks for another beautiful piece. Your own words, and those you quoted, are enlightening. Carl Jung’s explanation of why wars exist. And that poem! Happy to be in this world together, coming to our senses. ❤️
Thank you sweet Diane! Can you believe it has almost been a year since we met? What lessons we learned! I'll have to plan annual Vipassana. Thanks for reading and supporting! I appreciate it more than you know.
Nessa, I love reading your posts and looking at your photos from all over this beautiful world. Whenever I read your thoughtful words, I am inspired to go out and live my best life. You are an amazing philosopher and I am honored to be a part of your special community.
It warms my heart to know that these posts are landing on your heart. Letter and photos are so powerful! Its partly why I love books and photography so much.
It heals me to write/share photos and stories. Everything else, including even having any readers at all is a gift! Thank you for reading, commenting and connecting.
Sending hugs and wishes that we all find our inner suns. ☀️

I share similar sentiments. What will be will be.

I feel as though there may be a common vibe. I do like thinkers and kind people and thinkers who think about kind people.
All my stuff is free of you'd like to meet, publication-to-publication.
Thank you for reading/commenting/supporting. I will check out your stack.

I hope our opposit views on the subject of "Climate Change" will allow that folk of sincere intent, can have divergent views. Unlike most, I read several hundred hours from very sincere and educated folk on both sides of that issue. I am a total IFS nut - it totally changed my life... And the Dharma too, of course! Lovely to connect 🙏🏻

Thank you Nessa. Hearing your words in my head, sensing the images of the earth you shared, and seeing you in my mind has made my day. Wonderful!
